Hi, I’m Sue.
I’m an interior designer with nearly 30 years’ experience, helping people create homes that feel considered, comfortable and completely their own.
I’ve been designing interiors since 1997, and over the years I’ve worked on everything from individual rooms and family homes to larger renovations and complete interior projects.
My approach has always been quite simple: I listen. I don’t believe a home should look like a designer has imposed a particular style on it. It should feel like you – just pulled together beautifully.
Whether you need help with one room or you’re taking on a much larger renovation, my job is to make the process easier, give you confidence in your decisions and help you avoid costly mistakes.

Decades of experience.
I started my career in interior design in 1997 and have been working with homes, interiors and furnishings ever since. Before becoming self-employed, I gained invaluable experience working within the interiors industry, and I went on to open my first shop in 2002.
The Interiors Store came later, bringing together the two sides of the business I love most – designing individual homes and having a physical place where people can come in, browse fabrics, wallpaper and paint, and talk through their ideas without any pressure.
A personal approach to interior design.
I know that inviting someone into your home and trusting them with decisions about how it should look and feel can be quite personal. My role isn’t to impose a particular style, but to listen, understand what you like and help you make choices that feel right for you.
Some clients come to me knowing exactly what they want but needing help bringing everything together. Others know something isn’t working but have no idea where to begin. Both are absolutely fine.
I’ll guide you through the process, narrow down the options and take away as much of the overwhelm as possible – while making sure the finished home still feels like yours.
What matters to me.
Your home should feel like you.
I don’t design to a formula or impose a particular look. The starting point is always you – what you like, how you live and what you want your home to feel like.
Good design needs to work.
It isn’t just about choosing beautiful things. Layout, proportion, practicality, budget and the way a room is actually used all matter just as much.
Confidence in your choices.
There are an overwhelming number of choices when you’re decorating or renovating. Part of my job is to narrow those choices down, explain what works and why, and make the whole process feel much more manageable.
Let’s talk about your home.
You don’t need to have everything figured out before getting in touch. You might know exactly what you want and need help pulling it together, or you may simply know that something isn’t working.
Either way, we can start with a conversation about your home, what you’d like to change and how I can help.
